What's On

Creative Collage Art Group Summer School

Tuesday 9 July 2019 to
Thursday 11 July 2019

Join the Creative Collage Art Group (CCAG) for their summer school, based on the theme of colour and memory.

The theme is a tribute to Pierre Bonnard who worked mostly from memory, and who’s rhythm was colour, linked with unconventional composition; whether in vibrant landscapes - including gardens - or intimate domestic scenes.

The group will spend time exploring and recording surroundings, before heading back indoors to concentrate on applying colour in paint or mixed media, connecting with the memory of looking objectively.

Participants are welcome to join the group for an evening meal during the summer school – details tbc.

The Creative Collage Art Group (CCAG) was formed around eight years ago by lead artist Catherine Hope-Jones as an informal group of local artists, some with experience and some with none, needing only an enthusiasm for visual expression. Gradually, the group has developed from solely collage based art into a group which mixes two and three dimensional work (assemblage) and engage in many media, including drawing and painting.

Please note: The summer school will be held over three days, the first day at Paxford Village Hall, and the 2nd and 3rd day in the Education Centre at Batsford.
