Introduction into Mindfulness Meditation

Come and discover how to take care of your emotional and mental well-being with qualified practitioner, Karen Lord, a member of the Complementary Medical Association.

Mindfulness Meditation’s aim is to help us achieve true inner peace and happiness. This seated workshop will take place in Batsford's Education Centre and is suitable for all. You will be guided through the basics from breathing, posture and home practice. The 2-hour workshop will include:

  • Introduction
  • What is Mindfulness
  • Health benefits
  • Posture/seating position
  • Breathing techniques
  • What is grounding
  • Awareness of physical self
  • Meditation
  • Using crystals to enhance your Meditation
  • Home practice, where and when
  • Keeping a journal

There will also be information to take home.

The workshop costs £25 per person including admission to the Arboretum. The Group will meet at the Arboretum’s Admissions Desk at 10.45am.
