Snowdrops are plentiful in the Arboretum right now! You’ll also see…
Helleborus orientalis ‘Harvington Hybrids’ – you’ll find these along ‘Her Ladyship’s Walk’ (area A on our map) in shades of blue, purple, white and pink. Snowdrops are also growing here, along with yellow winter aconites and Cyclamen coum.
As you walk along the main drive you’ll see Galanthus woronowii (giant snowdrop) and Narcissus ‘January Gold’ (daffodil). You’ll also see (or smell!) the highly fragrant Daphne bholua ‘Peter Smithers’ located just past Rockery Bridge (area B on our map).
There are Narcissus ‘January Gold’ growing in front of the Japanese Rest House (area O on our map) and just behind the Rest House is the very fragrant Daphne bholua ‘Jaqueline Postill’.
